Smart building technologies and services
The aim of the group is to advance research and teaching within smart buildings.
The group was established in 2016 and current research focus is in new solutions based on sensor networks, human-building interaction and intelligent control strategies of building systems. Research in conducted in close co-operation with companies and associations in the field. On-going research projects are:
- Open communication interfaces for smart buildings
- Universal autonomous adaptive control system for HVAC-systems
- Controlling indoor environments based on wearable sensor measurements
- Optimization of control strategies for demand response
- Building occupancy prediction using machine learning and existing measurement data
- Smart building service system pilot environment
