Defense electronics

The Defence electronics research group concentrates on military radar hardware, related design, modelling and measuring concepts and field experiments. Particular effort is directed towards tasks and problems where commercial solutions are not available or national objective evaluation capability for future projects is desired.

Most of the work is carried out in close co-operation with the Electronics and Information Technology Division of the Defence Forces Technical Research Centre. Joint technological competence has been developed e.g. in the field of sophisticated radar test and measuring systems. Current research interests include radar transmitters and receivers, agile modulators, detectors, high-speed displays, power supplies, antenna control systems and selected electronic warfare issues.

The group is led by Professor Pekka Eskelinen.
