This session covers in a tutorial manner areas where major hardware and software research breakthroughs may originate and, on the other hand, how ICT based innovations play an ever increasing role in solving our global challenges. The session begins with short introductions by renown experts followed by an interactive discussion.

The Academic Summit will convene seven sessions over two days, which will address the issue of the impact that universities make from different perspectives. The sessions will be attended by an international cohort of experts in innovation and representatives of the business sector and academia.
