This thesis is the end of my five-year journey at Aalto University and the result of my research in the field of power system reliability. The thesis develops a four-module method to assess reliability and economically evaluate a dynamic, multi-valent and intermediate part of the power system: the subtransmission network. In the context of this research and also raising other power quality issues, I focused my work on meshed subtransmission networks in urban areas of temper-ate/subarctic regions introducing multiscenarios in a bi-dimensional quasi-chronological time assessment over a given project time.
